v 1. причинять боль, ушибить, повредить: to hurt smb — причинить кому-либо боль; 2. болеть, болит; 3. обидеть, задеть: to hurt smb (smb's feelings) — обидеть кого-либо (задеть чьи-либо чувства); 4. ощущать боль, обидеться, удариться, ушибиться: to get (to feel) hurt — обидеться (1). Глагол to hurt 1. и 2. причинять (испытывать) физическую боль употребляется с наречиями badly, seriously:He was badly hurt. He seriously/badly hurt his leg when he fell — Он сильно ушибся, пострадал/Он серьезно повредил ногу при падении.
Глагол to hurt 3. и 4. обидеть(ся) может употребляться с наречием much:He was very much hurt.
(2). Причастие от глагола to hurt 1. и 2. не употребляется атрибутивно, вместо него используется injured:an injured man — пострадавший человек, человек, получивший травму (повреждение).
